David is a Director and the principal shareholder of Caledonian Financial Management Limited. His career in financial services began in 1985 and he was also a co-founder of Caledonian Financial Services Limited in August of 1992.
David also specialises in providing solutions for clients in the complex world of pensions. He can advise on all types of pensions and has expertise in advising on self-invested schemes
David specialises in providing bespoke investment and wealth management solutions for our clients. He is vastly experienced in this area and also sits on both the Caledonian Financial Management Investment Committee.
Karen began her career in financial services in May 2006 when she was appointed Office Manager.
She holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and the CII Level 4 Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management.
In 2012, Karen was appointed Director of Compliance and Finance. She oversees all aspects of the business and is also a member of the Caledonian Financial Management Investment Committee.
Michelle joined us in 2003 and has become a highly valued member of our team. While she is responsible for the overall management of the office, she also works as a client support executive for David Hunter. She is responsible for delivering high levels of support to David and his clients. Michelle enjoys strong relationships with many of our clients and is very often their first point of contact.
Michelle has extensive experience across all areas of financial administration and holds both the Certificate in Financial Administration and the Certificate in Mortgage Advice qualifications. She is currently working towards the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Services and is just one exam away from achieving this qualification.
Dean joined us in 2021 after graduating with a First-Class Honours Degree in Finance, Investment and Risk. Dean also holds the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
Dean provides holistic advice to both retail and corporate clients across a range of financial planning needs. This includes investment planning, retirement and income strategies, tax planning, estate planning with advice structured around each client’s individual circumstances, objectives and long-term financial goals.
Combining strong technical knowledge with a personal, client-focused approach, Dean is committed to providing clear, professional financial advice and building long-term relationships with clients.
Greg joined us in December 2020 as a client services executive and worked towards attaining his level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
He also holds an Honours Degree in Business Administration.
Greg attained his level 4 Diploma in November 2023 and provides advice across protection, pensions, investments, trusts and Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning.
Greg takes a straightforward, personal approach to financial advice, building strong relationships with clients and helping them make informed decisions to achieve their financial goals.

Charlotte joined us in June 2023 under our apprenticeship training programme as an administrator.
Since then, she has been promoted to Client Services Executive and works as the first point of contact for Dean Robinson and his clients. In this role she is responsible for ensuring that all clients are provided with a professional, efficient service that reflects the standards of Caledonian.
Her responsibilities include drafting suitability reports, researching providers and products, processing new business, and managing Dean’s appointments.
Charlotte is working towards achieving the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Services and has passed the R05 qualification in Financial Protection and is now studying for R01 – Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics.
Outside of work, she likes to relax with friends and family and she is an avid supporter of Partick Thistle and attends their matches at home and away.
Fatima began her career in Financial Services in January 2024 and joined us in April 2025. She works as a Client Support Executive as the first point of contact for Greg Fitzsimmons. In this role, she is responsible for delivering a high level of support to both Greg and his clients, ensuring all interactions are handled in a professional and friendly manner that reflects the standards of Caledonian.
Her responsibilities include drafting suitability reports, researching providers and products, processing new business, and managing Greg’s appointments.
Outside of work, she values spending quality time with her family and she enjoys cooking for them. In her spare time, she also likes to relax by colouring intricate art designs.
Ali joined us in June 2025 under our apprenticeship training programme as an administrator.
She is responsible for gathering and preparing all relevant information for our client review meetings. This entails liaising with product providers to ensure that client information is accurate and up to date.
Ali also handles client enquiries, providing prompt and efficient responses to questions and ensuring a high standard of client service.
Ali welcomes clients to our office and provides hospitality prior to their meeting with their adviser which creates a professional and welcoming experience.
Ali is working towards achieving the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Services and is studying for the R05 Financial Protection qualification.
In her spare time, she likes to relax and spend time with her family. In addition to this she enjoys shopping and going for lunch with her friends
